I am SO Happy that Mom & Dad went to get me some Rescue Remedy!! My friends Kona & Pepe’s mom had suggested it to Mom last year when the fireworks really scared me. Dad was joking that I need a IV drip of this stuff! It seems with the past 3 weeks of daily thunderstorms, I have gotten even more skiddish! Can you believe it? Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is well, I know I haven’t been spending as much time posting and reading blogs. I just wanted to see what is new with everyone, I have had lots of trips to NH to visit Mom’s Parents at the Lake and yesterday we went to Dad’s Parents lake house for fathers day. Lucky for me it was raining so I didn’t have to get thrown in the water!
A week or so ago we got to go Kayaking at the state park. That was really fun! I kept trying to put my paw in the water and hit the paddle as it passed by me. Since I didn’t get to go swimming at the park, Mom took me to the local pond and kept making me swim. We went and got a new life jacket since I out grew my one from last year. I’m not a little puppy anymore! Mom likes to get me in above my head and when I kick to the shore I don’t seem to go anywhere, and thats cause she’s holding on to the top of my life jacket!! She says its a good workout.

Beds & Biscuits is starting up. I love being the CEO! I get to taste everything she makes and boy oh boy they are yummy! Last night I tried the newest batch, Banana Chips! Delicious! You should order some if you haven’t already!

Well, it’s a short post, but at least it’s something. I will try to keep up with my blog friends!

It’s the 4th day of 90+ degree weather with dew points in the 80’s so Mom has been trying to come up with yummy cool treats for me. Now that I have tried the Hot Dog Pupsicles, I have been turned off to the regular plain water icecubes. So what did Mom do, mix my other favorite treat in an icecube, PEANUT BUTTER!

Ok, so here are the 2 ideas.
1) Use a kong and put a small dab (little less then a teaspoon) and shake it into the bottom end of the Kong. Then with a peanut butter jar that’s almost empty, or in a seperate container with a little peanut butter in it, fill with hot water and close tight and SHAKE. (The longer you shake the more the peanut butter will liquify into the hot water.) Stick in freezer over night (or longer if you use a big Kong) and Vwala! You have a solid cold Kong that tastes like peanut butter!
NOTE: remember the extra intake of water, and plan bathroom breaks accordingly!

2) Use same water/peanut butter mixture from #1. Pour into ice cube tray, freeze = bite size treats!

Today is 90 degrees and very very hot. Mom and Dad took me to the State Park and we went kayaking for a while. It’s just too hot so I’ve been resting a lot.

I have a great idea for my doggie friends to ask their parents to try. Mom boiled a hot dog in a lot of water. Then she let the water and hot dog cool a bit and cut the hot dog in waggon wheels, and then cut them in half again. She used an ice cube tray and put one hot dog peice in each spot and poured the hot dog water in and put them in the freezer.

The next day… I got little hot dog pupsicles! And let me tell you, they are delicious! I recommend you try them too. It’s great for a hot day like today.

Well friends, it happened… I had no idea it was coming. We got up like any other Saturday morning, went on a walk, had breakfast… How was I to suspect that when Mom said I was going for a car ride that it was going to end at….

Yes, it’s true. I had to have my yearly check up.  After being greating by the overwhelming warnings of boarding dog baying and barking constantly I was more then reluctant to go prancing in to those people in coats who like to poke and prode me. Not only did I try to make a narrow escape a couple times while in the waiting area as other dogs were coming and going, a very large dog that mom called a great dane came in to get weighed while I was waiting. Now, on any other day, under any other circumstances I am very sure her and I would have gotten along great. But at this moment, awaiting the evil fate that goes on when they bring me in that little room, her 148 lbs just didn’t seem all that fun, AND SHE WAS YOUNGER THEN ME! 

Eventually, after seemed like forever, I would have to say at least 30 dog minutes (aka: 5 mintues to my human readers) they called my name and mom walked me into that little room. As all of you know, I don’t really like new people and it takes me a long time to warm up to them. Well, this lady didn’t believe in warming up! A quick pet on the head, and a thermometer up the you-know-where! Talk about abrupt! Mom held my head and kept telling me I was being a good girl, but I had already desided that I would just stand as still as a statue until this whole ordeal was over. Maybe it would make it go faster, or maybe they would forget I was in the room. They took blood and told mom I was heartworm and lime negative, so I guess all those yummy once a month treats are working. Keep em coming!

Then the Vet came in… I know! I hadn’t even starting the real apointment! Every time I have gone to the vet I see a nice lady named Dr. Moynihan.

(that’s her and her dog Bridget, I never met Bridget, but she looks like a nice girl)

I had to get 3 shots and a thing up the nose! Ahhh- chooo! yea, I sneezed all over my nice vet.  After that, she told mom that I was FAT!! Well, I guess she just said I could loose a few pounds, but what girl wants to hear that!?  Mom fessed up that it was her fault that we hadn’t been exercising enough and that Mom could probably loose a few pounds too! And for Dad to lay off all the extra yummy special treats…

Ahh well, after that, I was done! I couldn’t get out of there fast enough! Mom, hurry up and start that car!
She made up for it though, later last night I got to go to SUNNY’s House! (See HERE to learn about me and Sunny) We got to play from 5:30-12!  Boy was I sleepy today!

Hey everybody! Can you believe it! I went out in a boat! Mom had to hold me in, I was ready to jump in, I think I saw some FISHIES in that water!

Nana & Papa’s was SO much fun! I love going to the country. I will be sure to write more about my adventures soon, I just wanted to show everyone my nautical skills!

Hey Everyone!
I just found out that we are going on a Road Trip to NH to visit my Nana & Papa!!! We will be leaving on Sunday morning because Mom already committed to babysitting Saturday night.
I don’t know how many of my readers are from MA, but we have a race called the BOSTON MARATHON that run’s RIGHT THROUGH MY TOWN! They even run right down the street that we usually walk. You can learn more about the Marathon here. The race starts where Dad’s parents live in Hopkinton and goes through Mom’s home town, Natick, and ends up in Boston! I like to run but that is a REALLY LONG WAY! I don’t think I could keep up.

Because Mom and Dad grew up with the Marathon they don’t seem all that excited about it, and since lots of people and little kids scare me, they said I wouldn’t want to walk down to see it. That’s why we are going to NH to the Lake House!

I will be sure to take lots of picture up there, Mom even lets me off leash some since they live in the woods on a lake, there isn’t many places I can run off too. Thank goodness the water is too cold still or else I think Mom would be throwing me in! She is determined to bring out the water dog in my flat coat retriever side. YA RIGHT!

Mom found a really funny video of me and Dad on her computer and I begged her to put it on here so hopefully it will be up soon!
